Barcelona, March 2025 – As part of the official bilateral engagements during MWC Barcelona 2025, Dimitris Papastergiou, Minister of Digital Governance of the Hellenic Republic, held a meeting with representatives of the Spanish-Greek Chamber of Commerce, reinforcing Greece’s commitment to expanding digital collaboration with Spain.

The meeting, organized under the framework of the Innovation Technology Alliance—an initiative of the Hellenic-Spanish Chamber of Commerce—provided a platform for open dialogue on strengthening bilateral cooperation in digital governance, technological innovation, and business development.

Participants included:

  • Aglaia Balta, Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to Spain

  • Marinos Giannopoulos, Ph.D, CEO of Enterprise Greece

  • Andreas Pappas, President of the Spanish-Greek Chamber of Commerce

  • Michael Kokkinos, President of the Hellenic-Spanish Chamber of Commerce

  • Senior representatives from both Chambers

The conversation highlighted the vital role of binational Chambers of Commerce in fostering public-private dialogue, facilitating cross-border innovation, and aligning business interests with national digital strategies. The Spanish-Greek Chamber of Commerce, in particular, expressed its readiness to serve as a strategic bridge connecting Greek digital expertise with Spanish markets and institutions.

This engagement reflects the broader mission of the Innovation Technology Alliance: to translate high-level dialogue into practical partnerships that benefit both citizens and economies across Greece and Spain.

Further meetings and collaborative actions are expected as this bilateral framework continues to grow through the remainder of MWC 2025 and beyond.
